Apex Legends Release Date Delayed

‘Apex Legends’ Sony is keeping PS5 under plenty of wraps, and what news we do get is usually a rumor.

According to a replacement rumor, Sony’s next-gen console is reportedly going to be backward compatible, and that’s the foremost important news we’ve heard of the platform so far. Although, the thought on which this assumption rests is kind of solid.

Recently, Sony has registered a patent within the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office Database on a totally unique method. This method allows devices to figure out where an application is legacy or not. Legacy application in simple terms is those applications that are designed for previous versions of the hardware. as an example, the pc game, Uncharted 4 for PlayStation 4, goes to be a legacy application for PlayStation 5. The patented technology is an algorithm that lets legacy software function on Sony’s newer devices.

Perhaps the foremost important leap of faith here is whether or not or not this algorithm is specifically for PlayStation and not for the host of other devices Sony produces. The patent could be for mobile phones, smart televisions, or even Sony cameras Nintendo Switch users will need to wait a touch bit longer to play Apex Legends on their console of choice. Previously, it had been announced at EA Live Play 2020 that the EA Games and Respawn battle royale hit was alleged to arrive on Switch this fall. However, that’s not the case because the game’s release date has been pushed back for valid reasons.

In a recent statement from game director Chad Grenier, it had been revealed Apex Legends wouldn’t be launching on Switch until 2021. No specific date was given in Grenier’s post on the EA company blog. He did offer some insight into the Switch launch delay, writing, “We’re still hard at work on the port, but so as to try to justice to the sport and make it into the good experience Switch players deserve, our team needs longer. This year has brought on unexpected new challenges, to place it mildly, and that we don’t want to rush anything out,” and went on to notice that when the sport does hit Switch, it’ll feature “support for cross-platform play, our latest seasonal content, and full feature parity with the opposite versions of the sport .”

Apex Legends‘ Switch release date delay won’t affect the launch of the game’s Season 7 or its release on Steam. For those players who previously played Apex Legends on Origin, “all your account progression and unlocks will carry over between the 2 platforms,” consistent with Grenier’s post.

Apex Legends will now arrive on Nintendo Switch in 2021. the sport will still launch Season 7 and on Steam on November 4. Get even more Nintendo updates here. However, there’s one other detail that points to the PlayStation. The patent is credited to a minimum of one Mark Cerny, lead architect of the PS4.

Additionally, it’s rumored that Cerny is heavily involved in designing the architecture of PS5. this suggests that Cerny has not only been developing PS5 but also has come up with the way to run PS4 video games on its successor. If within the scenario that backward compatibility actually holds true for PS5 it’ll be a relief to PlayStation fans. On the other hand, Microsoft already features a backward compatibility program for the Xbox One and Xbox One X.

The console makers, Microsoft and Sony are gearing up for the ninth generation of console gaming. There could even be announcements within a couple of years with the last word product still taking three years or more. we’ll know more about these new generations within the upcoming Game Developers Conference planned for March
