This year’s iPhone 15 should come as no surprise. you also didn’t have to persuade to make that choice. This year, though, three updates are coming with the iPhone 15 Pro Max that you will believe that the most significant changes to the iPhone experience since the iPhone X.

This should come as no surprise, but the iPhone 15’s USB-C port is comfortably at the top of my list for this year. While I mostly use wireless charging to power my iPhone, the USB-C switch will come in handy for what you need to keep in my laptop bag and what you need to carry when you travel.

After all, some of these Lightning cords have been around for a long time. But you also need to bring many USB-C cables 

There is one major caveat to how the iPhone 15 Pro Max will eliminate you need for Lightning cables: AirPods Max. Even though they’ve gotten a little old, you still like the AirPods Max, despite the fact that they still utilize Lightning for charging.

The good news is that the AirPods Max have a decent battery life. you need to charge them if you are going away for the weekend. the Lightning cable on hand for longer journeys and day-to-day living at home. Or perhaps you’ll just use the Beats Studio Pro.

Periscope camera

Another modification coming to the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the inclusion of a periscope camera. This change would significantly increase the optical zoom range of the iPhone’s camera, an area where Apple has lagged for years.

Seeing concert footage is one of my favorite TikTok features. you can’t help but notice that videos recorded with Samsung’s flagship phones typically seem far superior to those shot with iPhones. Most of the time, this is because Samsung phones, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, already include a periscope lens with up to 10x optical magnification.

The optical zoom range of the iPhone 14 Pro’s telephoto lens is only 3x. This indicates that the iPhone 14 Pro will use digital zoom, which is substantially worse quality, far sooner than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

According to current rumours, the iPhone 15 Pro will include a 6x optical zoom. Even if it doesn’t equal what Samsung’s flagship phones feature, it’s a major step in the right direction.

A new titanium chassis

There are two reasons I’m optimistic about this change:

  • Titanium is significantly lighter than stainless steel. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is a heavy phone. we think the weight is the biggest reason some people choose the iPhone 14 Pro, or even the standard iPhone 14, instead. Zac did some back-of-the-envelope math in an attempt to estimate how much lighter the titanium chassis might be.
  • The stainless steel design is a fingerprint magnet. The iPhone 15 Pro’s titanium chassis will have a matte finish, likely similar to the aluminum finish on the non-Pro models. This should improve the durability and make the phones a lot less fingerprint-y.

This adjustment appears to imply that the iPhone 15 Pro will be offered in a limited palette of colours. If it results in a lighter design or allows Apple to cram a larger battery inside without making the phone heavier, I’m prepared to make the sacrifice.
