Android 13: Beta 4 is now available and its final version will arrive soon, it will come with new privacy features After several months since the start of the testing phase of Android 13, beta 4 of the software is now official. In this sense, Google has pointed out that with this official launch we are only a few weeks away from knowing the definitive version of the operating system that will integrate the Pixel mobiles and the main brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, and more.
The beta 4 version of Android 13 is designed so that application developers can perform final tests and developments with this in mind. This build is actually a candidate variant of this operating system for Pixel devices and the Android emulator.
Because platform stability was achieved with the previous beta version of Android 13, all app surfaces have been final ever since, including the SDK and NDK APIs.
Android 13 comes with new privacy features, such as notification permission and revamped photo picker, themed app icons, per-app language support, HDR video, Bluetooth LE Audio, and support for MIDI 2.0 via USB.
Also, the first devices to update to Android 13 Beta 4 are the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a and Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro, whose OTA update is already coming to smartphones enrolled in the software’s beta program. In addition, it is available on the Realme GT 2 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro, OnePlus 10 Pro, and Nokia X20.
